New on Kindle for iPad and Kindle Cloud Reader: Full-Color Kids Books and Comics
Starting today, Kindle for iPad and Kindle Cloud Reader support children’s books, comics and graphic novels with beautiful full-color layouts.
Children’s Picture Books come to life with brilliant images, fixed layouts, and Kindle Text Pop-Up that magnifies text for easy reading on any screen. Titles include Caldecott Medal and Honor books (Olivia, Freight Train), popular series (Sesame Street), as well as 8 popular titles priced at $1.99.
Comics and Graphic Novels are presented in Kindle Panel View that showcases the artwork in a panel by panel experience that reads as the author intended. Choose from graphic novels featuring popular superheroes (Batman, Superman, Green Lantern), critically acclaimed series (Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman), or 40 years of Doonesbury comics.
Over 1,000 children’s and comic book titles in full color are now available on Kindle Fire, Kindle for Android, Kindle for iPad, and Kindle Cloud Reader.

that's great, but is there android support as well. i prefer kindle reading for lots of topics, but i've purchased a few books as hard copies over the kindle format versions because of the lack of decent kindle illustrations,

I was so excited about this! Immediately bought a couple of books for my young boys. Then I updated the app so that I could download them to my iPad and CRASH. The Kindle app has crashed repeatedly on my iPad so many times now I'm afraid of it. I can't even read my own books. Help!

Sounds great, but the Doonesbury collections linked in this post say they only work on the Kindle Fire and on Kindle for Android, and NOT the iPad. Is this a mistake, or is the iPad excluded for some reason?

Is there a list of supported devices somewhere? I have a Droid Bionic and an Asus Transformer TF300. I can send comics to the Bionic, but not the Transformer. It seems like the tablet ought to be supported. Can we expect that all devices will be supported soon?
Thanks.
